What we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

What we collect

When you light a candle on One Flame, we collect the following information and store it in our database (Supabase):

We do not collect your full name, postal address, phone number or payment card details. Payment is processed entirely by Stripe and we do not receive or store payment card information.

How we use your information

Your candle data is displayed publicly on the living map and in the All Flames ledger. This includes your nickname, location (country and hometown if provided), intention and candle code. Your email address is never displayed publicly.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site. This involves a small cookie being placed on your device. You can decline this cookie using the banner when you first visit. Essential cookies required for the site to function are always placed regardless of your choice.

Data storage

Your candle data is stored in Supabase, a US-based database service. Supabase is GDPR compliant. Your data is retained for as long as your candle exists on the map. You may request deletion of your data by emailing us with your candle code.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@oneflame.earth with your candle code.
